Rosemont Park
Buckingham Lake Park is probably the most popular place to enjoy the water outside of the Hudson River while in the city of Albany. The lake is more of a pond, due to the fact that its depth is only three feet and surface area is five acres. Nonetheless, people love the pond in the winter when the water freezes up making it perfect for ice skates. Albany's citizens also use the space for cycling, jogging, walking the dog or just to lounge under one of the trees.
Spread across an area of 57 acres (23 hectares), Six Mile Waterworks Park features several trails, picnic areas and a playground. It also offers stunning views of the Rensselaer Lake. Visitors can indulge in activities like rowing, canoeing and kayaking by the lake. In addition to this, fishing enthusiasts can catch a variety of fishes like common carp, largemouth bass, black crappie, yellow perch and more.

Spread across an area of 15000 square feet (1393.5 square meters), this park opened its doors in 2017. Scattered with several trees, this fenced park features a lush green lawn, comfortable benches and dustbins. This park is surrounded by several restaurants and cafes that are pet-friendly.
