Columbus Park

Located in Chinatown, this park was once the location of the infamous, crime-ridden "Five Points" neighborhood. The park hosts a wide variety of visitors, and there are activities for everyone. The park features basketball courts and playgrounds, as well as a group of tables where people play Mah-jongg and dominoes. The 3.23-acre (1.31-hectare) park also has a large grass area where some people like to practice Tai Chi while others simply relax. 

Transmitter Park

Once a radio transmission tower, now a recreational park, the WNYC Transmission Park adorns natural beauty with its spectacular waterfront location and green spaces. Opened in 2012, the park provides ample of recreational activities for children as well as adults. A separate play area for the kids, the park also has designated spaces for fishing, seating and walking. Excellent for spending time with the family, you can also enjoy the magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline and East River.

Domino Park

Built on the grounds of the former Domino Sugar Refinery based on the banks of the East River, Domino Park is a center of fun activities in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The 5-acre (2.02 hectares) park features a playground, an elevated walkway, a beach volleyball court, a bocce court, and a dog run. There are several artifacts at this place which are instruments once used in the sugar refinery that ran here in the past. Visitors can enjoy some delicious Mexican food with some refreshing cocktails in the small eatery located at this park.
