Carson County Square House Museum, that opened in 1967 originated from a 1880s house. It is the core of the present-day Square House Museum complex and is a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark. In 1973, it was listed in the National Register. The museum exhibits art and artifacts pertaining to the history, culture and heritage of Panhandle.
