Pleasure Island is a human creation and stretches 18.5 miles (29.7729 kilometers). This island is famous for its fishing and sailing activities and is known for its scenic beauty. Pleasure Island houses different bird species and has many camping, golfing and hiking facilities.
Located behind the Port Arthur Public Library, this monument was built by the Port Arthur American Italian Club. This wall is dedicated to the immigrants who fought for making of the state and has their words “We who follow, dedicate this immigrants Wall of Honor to those who led us to a new country, a new life, and a new beginning.” inscribed over it.
Established in 2004, the Heritage Veterans Memorial Plaza is located on Martin Luther Junior Drive. This memorial is dedicated to all those brave heroes who lost their lives fighting for the country. Every year, the memorial conducts a program to commemorate these war veterans and to honor those who are serving the country today as well.
Located on West Sunset Drive, the Sunset Grove Country Club was established in 1927 and was designed by the much celebrated architect, Donald Ross. The golf course is exceptionally beautiful with its well maintained tees and scenic views. You can also enjoy tennis and pool games at the club. They also house a restaurant that offers fine dine options.
