I focus exclusively on family law. I deal primarily with divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support (alimony). I have found that resolving these cases out of the courtroom, especially when children are involved, is nearly always the best way. I do think it is best to have a lawyer in most cases, even if only for consultation purposes, but I always try to resolve matters without litigation. Unfortunately, that's just not always possible, and I won't hesitate to take matters to court if there simply is no other way forward.
