Feroleto Steel, founded in 1958, processes custom-rolled precision strip steel. Its products include high strength low alloy coils, strips and sheets and carbon steel coils and strips. Its 12 individual computerized heads, oscillating line can provide up to twelve 4,000 pound oscillate wound coils handling up to 48,000 pounds of strip in one set up. Prior to slitting and oscillating, each master coil is joined to the next with an annealed weld to provide continuous operation during the run. Welds are then tagged for customer identification. The company is headquartered in Bridgeport, Conn., and operates plants in Knoxville, Tenn., and Weirton, W.V. Feroleto Steel became a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho America in 1990.
