Geo. N. Mitchell Drilling provides oil, gas and coal mine methane drilling and completion services in the Illinois Basin. Established in the early 1940s and located in Carmi, Ill., Mitchell Drilling has experience with a wide range of oil, gas and coal bed methane drilling. It provides rig transportation, site preparation, vertical drilling, sub-contracting for directional drilling operations and well completion services. The company s ability to drill and complete wells in a safe, environmentally conscious way saves clients time and money and creates investment opportunity by lowering overall well costs and increasing profitability. Government incentives and new technologies for capturing, processing and utilizing coal mine and coal bed methane are contributing to the growth of Mitchell s involvement in Illinois Methane, a new energy enterprise in the Illinois Basin.
