A dining landmark in Mobile, Alabama, for more than 85 years, Wintzell's Oyster House is known far and wide for its "oysters — fried, stewed and nude." Wintzell's began expanding beyond its flagship restaurant to new locations in 2002, including the location at 1208 Shelton Beach Road in Saraland, which was the fourth Wintzell's location to open. The Omainsky family sought to replicate the historic charm and vibe of the original location on Dauphin Street and offer a consistent experience to fans in Saraland. Wintzell's is designated by national and regional publications as a "must experience" destination for both locals and tourists alike. While oysters headline the iconic brand, Wintzell's menu comprises signature seafood dishes like bacon wrapped shrimp and redfish bienville as well as regional favorites, including award-winning seafood gumbo, homemade bread pudding, and two specialties native to Mobile: West Indies salad and fried crab claws.
