In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am - we've got something for everyone. This popular spot has been serving healthy and fun food in a bohemian setting for more than 25 years. Here you'll find favorites like cheese fondue, spicy tortilla soup, a crunchy Mexican Caesar salad and more. The mushroom crepes are also excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant, friendly and is capped off by live piano music indoors and bands outdoors in the summer months. Reservations are accepted for parties of 8 or more.
