Tastee Diner

The Tastee Diner opened at 8516 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring MD. in 1935. The small Diner was so successful, that in 1946 the owner brought in a new & larger Dining cab.In the 1980s the Diner faced demolition to make room for development, but thanks to many loyal customers and employees the Diner played a role in the redevelopment, and now sits in the heart of Silver Spring.On June 17, 2000, the Historical Dining Cab was moved from its old location and attached to the new restaurant here on Cameron St.The Tastee Diners of Silver Spring, Laurel, & Bethesda remain open 24 hours a day and continue to serve the metro area some of its favorite Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Specials.
