Chef Lisa Baliet commands this neighborhood wine bar. Cock and Bull has a casual, laid-back atmosphere, but the food is always gourmet. The signature appetizer of Butternut Squash and Roasted Chestnut Ravioli is excellent. Specialties include the Horseradish-Crusted Salmon with Thyme-Orange Vinaigrette and juicy, seared Rib-Eye with outstanding dauphinoise potatoes. Several wines are available and there are nine beers on tap.
Although the name implies seafood, underwater fare comprises only a small part of this trendy neighborhood restaurant's menu. The casual atmosphere invites you to make yourself at home. In spite of the young crowd at the bar, intimate booths provide a romantic setting, and the menu prices are such that you won't go broke taking out your special someone. Sink your teeth into the Dancing Tuna Sandwich, or spicy Diablo Tempestuous (pasta in jalapeno tomato sauce). The seemingly endless varieties of domestic and imported beers complement the delicious entrees available here.
