Double-meat burgers made with Nolan Ryan Beef, the Legendary Chicken Fried Steak, and a full bar with live music three nights a week. Lefty’s Bar and Grill is the restaurant at The Feed Lot in Hewitt, minutes south of Waco. Every burger is double meat and comes with fries. The Rojo Gringo with housemade jalapeno ranch and fresh avocado is the one people drive for, and the Widow Maker is there if you think you can finish it. Chicken fried steak, steak fingers, chicken tenders, salads, and a cookie flight that is worth saving room for. The bar runs signature cocktails, frozen margaritas, Texas whiskey flights, and draft and bottled beer. Happy hour Monday through Friday, 2 to 5. Live music inside every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, including the Crowman Jam with 104.9 Shooter FM. No cover and the kitchen stays open. Midway students and teachers get 15% off food on Mondays.
