This little sandwich shop in downtown Mesa has a small menu that features primarily sandwiches, however it also has a small breakfast menu and the kitchen offers whole or half rotisserie chickens. A couple of sandwich options include the rustic Cuban served on Ciabatta bread or the delicious Reuben with Havarti, pickled Mustard Dijonnaise and house-made sauerkraut. To accompany your sandwich, the kitchen provides soup daily with a different recipe or you can add a simple green salad. Additionally, the shop also sells nitro cold-brew coffee which just so happens to go perfectly with your meal.

Open only for breakfast and lunch, Alo Cafe serves healthy, fresh American A.M. cuisine every day until 3pm. Some of the standouts on the breakfast menu include the classic Monte Cristo, a delectable Yucatan omelet that uses shrimp and the Huevos de Madrid uses smoked salmon in perfectly folded eggs. For lunch the sandwiches are hearty and come with a side of cole slaw or chips. Some on the list include a Cuban sandwich, a Reuben, Sonoma Chicken and an interesting Tortilla Española with your choice of an Aioli or Romesco sauce. Alo's location in a rustic little home with a patio only adds to its charm, especially on those perfect winter days.

Appropriately named, Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace is a place to come and enjoy a meal, then buy one of the products used in the kitchen to take with you. As one of the prominent restaurants from the Fox Concepts chain, the kitchen serves innovations in Italian favorites. The restaurant features two private dining areas and a large patio and also offers more than 50 different wines at a time. Also, the desserts are a must-try, especially the house-made gelato, which completes the meal perfectly.
