Iguana Cafe

Indulge in an elegant European dining experience with a visit to Iguana Cafe. Its brightly lit, warm interiors are reminiscent of a classic bistro on a quaint European street. Exuding tranquil, relaxing vibes, Iguana Cafe offers a menu that features fresh delicacies along with a variety of drinks. Indulge in a piping hot cup of their signature cappuccino or chai latte, or pick between dark or white chocolate Baileys. Try the rich Mac and Cheese, or opt for the crepes, options for which include creative preparations such as Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Acropolis, or Coliseum. Wash your hearty meal down with a flavorful wine, crisp beer, or refreshing cocktail.

Le Sud Mediterranean Kitchen

Garganelli is rolled by hand. Meats, seafood and warm bread go over the wood fire. Mussels arrive Provençale, and house-made limoncello finishes dinner. Le Sud is a French-Mediterranean bistro in Roscoe Village. The menu changes with Chicago’s seasons and the ingredients available. In warm weather, the Roscoe Street patio opens for dinner outside. From mid-October through mid-May, it closes into a heated sunroom for winter brunch and dinner. Happy hour begins at 4 PM Tuesday through Sunday, and weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday. The Salon, Salle du Soleil and Terrasse Chauffée host private dinners, showers, rehearsal dinners and company gatherings. Off-site catering is available for groups of 10 to 200 across Chicago. Come in for a glass after work, take the patio for date night, bring the family to brunch or give your celebration its own space.

A Taste of Heaven

Taste of Heaven is an ideal place to stop for coffee and dessert in Andersonville. Just one look at the cakes, brownies, scones and other treats on offer in the glass bakery case will have you hooked. A few dessert standouts include a (rather generous) slice of one of their many house-made cakes (Jeanine's and the 1000-chocolate chip cake are both delicious). Another mouth-watering option is to try one of their apple pastries served a la mode with vanilla ice cream. It dishes up a variety of rich and creamy Petersen's ice cream flavors. For those with more appetite, it also has on offer a number of hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner entrées. Just be sure that you have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal, as during busy times the kitchen can become overwhelmed, leaving you with a long wait for your food.

Lula Cafe

In its own words, Lula Café serves adventurous vegetarian food, for which it has grown in popularity and earned rave reviews in prestigious publications. It is an amazing breakfast and brunch spot with a focus on traditional American meals created with old recipes and sustainable, local produce. It was one of the first restaurants to adopt something like the farm-to-table approach. Its prix fixe dinner served every Monday has varied right from Lula Café's inception in 1999, to offer a lovely variety to its guests and keep them coming back for more. The chefs' artisanal cooking skills lend themselves perfectly while catering for banquets, weddings and corporate luncheons.
