The Bair
The Bair is a unique, history-filled restaurant set inside a restored 1895 drug and hardware store in Steilacoom. We serve made-to-order comfort food alongside a classic soda fountain experience, featuring old-fashioned sodas, floats, and sweet treats. Guests are invited to slow down, enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere, and explore the building’s rich past while their food is prepared with care.
We love good food, good atmosphere, positive energy, and we love taking care of people. My husband and his team make our Gritz N Gravy from scratch daily! As well as our biscuits and sourdough bread, and most all our dressings and sauces. We locally source most of our meats from our local butcher, and we hire staff based on their love of what they do and you can taste it in every bite. Our front of house team truly takes joy in providing exceptional service to all who walk through our doors and making sure every single person who comes to dine with us knows that they are valuable. We look forward to connecting and serving you.
The moon, like the tides, is eternally the same yet eternally changing, recreating itself. The name Moon Rise represents being true to yourself and living life with purpose, passion and wisdom. Welcome to another moonrise on my journey and thank you for being a part of it. We offer a warm welcome and an easy escape with bountiful breakfasts, hearty soups, crisp salads and handmade sandwiches. We make all our own dressings, soups, raspberry jam, biscuits and little loaves of bread. We cook, peel, and shred all of the hash browns by hand.
