This Ruby's Diner found at the end of Balboa Pier is the chain's very first establishment. In 1982, owners Doug Cavanaugh and Ralph Kosmides transformed an old bait shop into a 40's diner complete with red booths and malt machine. Since then the duo has opened restaurants in more than five other states, where the kitchen serves burgers, dogs and other American diner classics. This original on the pier is no different, although the views are probably the best ones out of the group.

Join us for March Madness we will have every game! We have 8 flat screens in the front and another 6 in the back room- so it's a great place to catch all the games! Covered outdoor seating with 7 outdoor TV's. We also have great food- try the Flame Burger or our House Pizza. Ask about our March Madness Specials!
Cassidy's Bar & Grill is well known for having one of the best burgers in Newport Beach, "The Cassidy's Cheeseburger," as well as a great tri tip sandwich. Food and beverage-wise, they have everything you want after a long day at the beach. Their burgers, drinks, music, and games (including pool table) will keep you entertained till 2am every night of the week.
R+D Kitchen Newport Beach is a trendy American grill and bar. The chic space is a popular spot among the town's hip crowd. Naturally, a dress code is expected here, so dress to impress. Their menu though limited features great burgers, sandwiches and mains. Unwind over some wine at their large horseshoe-shaped bar. They also have an alfresco dining option. Swank interiors, excellent service, tasty bites and good wine, makes this a buzzing establishment.
