Bistro 23

We specialize in using the most natural local products we can find and put them together with some of our favorite flavors in order to create a great meal. A little bit of sandwiches, salads, pizza and entrees based on season, not to mention a unique selection of local microbrews.

Mother’s Bistro & Bar

With the aim of addressing the stark absence of quality restaurants offering home-style food in the area, chef and owner Lisa Schroeder has taken the experience gained at the likes of Le Cirque to create wonderfully fresh, bistro-style cuisine in the light and airy ambiance of this old Irish bank building. Breakfast and lunch menus at Mother's Bistro & Bar offer an excellent array of Northwestern specialties prepared to the highest standards. There is more variation in the dinner menu, with everything from salads to pot roast and vegetable couscous. The excellent wine list offers choices by the bottle or glass. The restaurant interiors sport an excellent play of natural light with huge windows and soft white curtains creating an airy and cozy atmosphere. Ornate chandeliers add to the charm. The bar has a refined atmosphere with exposed-brick walls and vivid decor creating an elegant vibe. With the food consistently garnering critical acclaim, it's no wonder that Mother's has become one of the city's favorites.

Farmer and the Beast

Farmer and the Beast is a Portland food cart at Nob Hill Food Carts on NW 23rd, where local Oregon farms meet bold, craveable food. We serve smash burgers on Franz Bakery buns, seasonal farm-to-table salads featuring produce from Our Table Farms, Pablo Munoz Farm, and other local growers, and sandwiches on Grand Central Bakery bread — Fried Chicken, but also our cult favorite Beast of the Sea Oregon albacore sandwich. This Oregon Albacore can also be added to any salad! We serve Fresh Kennebec fries that are punched in-house daily. Named one of Portland's best food cart burgers by The Oregonian and featured by Eater Portland, Portland Monthly, and The Infatuation. Vegan options available. Outdoor seating, dog-friendly, kid-friendly.

Kenton Station

Formerly, the Kenton Hotel is now home to Kenton Station restaurant. Housed in a building dating back to 1909, the Kenton Station Restaurant Pub is a family-friendly haven to enjoy some delicious American eats such as hamburgers, onion rings and the like, with pub-style libations. A TV keeps sports fans occupied, while there is plenty of other entertainment too, one of them being the pool table for an occasional play-off. A children's menu is also available for when guests come in with their little ones.
