Southern Classic was born. They started simple, and that's been the recipe since. Marinated and hand-battered, chicken made as much with the heart as with the hands. And that's how Southern Classic was born, under a shade tree with a little luck and just the right touch and taste of home. They wanted a simple business with a simple product that served and pleased. Or that when served, pleased. A simple drive-thru and walk-up model. A business that sent people on a midday break looking for a shade tree to eat under. Or one that sent people home to their kitchen with supper already prepared, supper like mama used to make. The sides were simple and still are. Classic Southern. French Fries, Cole Slaw, and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, because, well, try to get good gravy on the streets and good luck with that. But ours, you could drink. We've added a few things, like Cajun Rice, Red Beans and Rice, Sweet Corn Grits, and to top things off, Hot Apple Pie. Oh, and don't forget the Pepper! Today, Southern Classic Chicken is a second-generation family-run franchise business with Leon's sons, Brandon and Alex, and Howard's son, Alan, at the helm.

Pizza Artista is locally owned and operated by Scott and Cynthia McClaskey, and Kirk Miller. These South Louisiana natives, are experts in the field of multi-unit operations, marketing, operational excellence, new store start ups, and team member development within the State of Louisiana. Kirk Miller currently has 30 years experience in the pizza industry and was a multi-unit supervisor in Louisiana for a national pizza chain. He supervised a total of 29 delivery and carry-out units. Scott McClaskey currently has 31 years experience in single and multi-unit operations within the pizza industry and was also a multi-unit supervisor in Louisiana for a national pizza chain. He supervised a total of 23 delivery and carry-out units. Cynthia McClaskey has approximately eight years experience in single unit operations and management with a local, Louisiana-based pizza company, as well as another 20 years of experience in customer relations and marketing within the restaurant industry. Having spent over 30 years each in the industry, Kirk and Scott decided they wanted to build something special. . . something different. . . something amazing. Watching the trends in the food industry take a turn to fast-casual dining, the McClaskeys and Miller decided it was time to bring Louisiana a fast-casual concept that not only focused on speed of service, but excellence in customer hospitality...
