House of Nanking

Reservations are not accepted at this extremely popular place, and it is one reason you will see lines snaking around the block to get in here. The other reason is the food. Though some might decry the less than immaculate interior, there are plenty who proclaim House of Nanking as the best Chinese food in San Francisco, if not California. The Imperial Rolls are extraordinary, full of first-rate fresh vegetables and succulent BBQ pork in a crispy, non-greasy wrapper. Hot and sour chicken or beef in garlic sauce and tofu with curry are also favorites.

Ark Chinese Restaurant

A small restaurant featured with Hand-Pulled noodle, also you can find more classic Chinese food here!

Hong Kong Clay Pot Restaurant

In the heart of the city's Chinatown, Hong Kong Clay Pot has been serving up staple Chinese and Cantonese fare in a vibrant setting. The restaurant adopts the century-old method of clay pot grub, where the clay utensils are dipped in water, followed by heating of the pot. This kind of steaming lends a unique taste and flavor to the preparation. The spongy nature of the pots lets the steam gradually escape, thus keep the meats succulent and the vegetables crunchy. For lunch, do not miss their hearty rice plates that feature an array of delicacies cooked to perfection.
