The lavish decor of this Italian restaurant, with a domed ceiling, stone fireplace, subdued lighting, and velvet curtains, properly sets the mood for a fine evening. The menu at Ciao Bella offers everything from pizza and pasta to roast chicken and steak. An appetizer of Risotto fritters, deep-fried rice balls with mozzarella or spicy, wood-grilled sausages with peppers are a tasty start to any meal. A portobella pizza featuring spinach, fontina cheese, red pepper, onion and cotto ham makes a perfect entree for two. Go for the wild-mushroom and spinach lasagna, spaghetti piccanti topped with grilled gulf shrimp, wood-roasted pork tenderloins or a filet mignon. Dessert highlights include an apple tart and the limonetta bella, layered lemon custard over a pecan praline crust with whipped cream.
