Crazy talk you say!? We thought so too! But alas, 14, 5-star, Yelper-generated reviews aren’t being factored into our overall rating..much less published alongside our other reviews. Criminal! Nope. All we have to do is pay them for ‘marketing services,’ and they’ll generate a super cool magic key with the fairy dust necessary to unlock said reviews! Super cool stuff, right? Totally fair! In most circles, this would be called extortion, but hey, it’s Yelp! ‘Unethical’ is such a subjective term.... But, if you’d like to learn a little about us, here goes! Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q is a Fast Casual Southern Bar-B-Q Restaurant that offers delicious, soulful food in a down-home atmosphere. The Willie Jewell’s brand is a throwback to the way BBQ and hospitality should be done — the Old-School way, hence our slogan, “Smoked for Hours, Served in Minutes.” And here’s the cool part - last year we gave over $50,000.00 to local non-profs, & dished up approx 40% more excellent meals than we did in our first 12 mos....we’re growing for a reason. Food’s good, and we give back. We serve. Gaines Street Pies was created by two local guys who wanted to create the best pizza in Tallahassee. Ingredient by ingredient and recipe by recipe we worked until we found the very best. We started by using fresh ingredients. We got rid of the freezer and microwave and made homemade meatballs, real sliced bacon, fresh made ranch and followed this model for every ingredient on our menu. We brought in some creative creations and mashed flavors together that have never been seen on pizza before. When we opened and heard all of the feedback, we knew we had a hit.
