Welcome to Nursel — the Bay Area's only Central Asian restaurant, proudly serving San Carlos since 2021. We are a family-owned kitchen rooted in the culinary traditions of Kyrgyzstan and other countries of Central Asia. Every dish is made from scratch using recipes passed down through generations — the same recipes that filled our grandmother's kitchen with warmth and the kind of food that stays with you long after the meal is over. Our menu takes you on a journey through the Silk Road — from golden flaky samsa pastries and juicy halal kebabs grilled to perfection, to beloved Russian and Central Asian classics like Olivier salad, Medovik honey cake, Vinegret beet salad, Korean carrot salad and chak-chak honey sweet. For many of our guests it is a taste of home. For everyone else it is a beautiful and unforgettable discovery. Everything at Nursel is 100% Halal certified — making us the only fully halal restaurant on the San Carlos Peninsula.
