South City Kitchen Vinings puts a twist on traditional Southern dishes, and serves them up in a lively atmosphere. The restaurant is usually buzzing, with excited patrons dining on buttermilk fried chicken, smoke roasted pork chop, and jambalaya. Don't miss out on their Sunday brunch, which is equally delicious.

The result of years of culinary experience in Japan, Yakitori Jinbei is pleasing Atlanta with traditional charcoal-grilled meat skewers. The charcoal used, binchotan, is a special kind that burns at a high temperature, and Yakitori Jinbei imports it directly from Japan. Alongside sushi and tempura, yakitori (grilled skewers of chicken, beef, pork, and vegetables) is one of the most popular foods of Japan and at this restaurant. Here, they are also known for dishes other than their namesake, like the sushi (try the famous Kondo Roll) and the ramen bowls, like the Tonkatsu Ramen with roast pork. This small restaurant offers big flavor, but if you're bringing a group, make a reservation.

Try everything from the classic Bruschetta and salads with fragrant dressings, to the Marsala, Piccata and the alluring seafood pastas. Regulars swear by the tiramisu here, although the Cannoli served with fresh ricotta will leave you impressed as well.

Davinci’s Pizzeria’s story began a loooooonnnnnnng time ago. Many folks have vivid, tangible recollections of things such as their first kiss, date, or child. Well, DaVinci's co-founder Jason Black had that same giddy feeling about a pizza in the late ’70s. I still remember the taste of their deluxe and enjoying black olives (although, at the time, I thought they were anchovies. (Big Difference) I have often since tried to recapture that feeling, and sometimes I succeed, but more often I fail. What I know now is that truly great pizza is inspired. It is made from hard work, thoughtfulness, and desire. As more corporate restaurants invade our lives and pervert our food supply, truly passionate food becomes harder and harder to find. My partner and I get excited to discover new restaurants that are food/service driven. And, that is how the idea of DaVinci’s Pizzeria was conceived.
