Temari Fine Japanese Cuisine (Temari’s) has been a hidden gem in Gilbert for over two decades — a place where fresh ingredients, traditional recipes, and genuine hospitality come together. Recently remodeled for a brighter, more inviting atmosphere, Temari still keeps the same beloved recipes and quality our loyal guests have come to love. We take pride in crafting sushi and Japanese dishes that balance flavor, texture, and presentation — always made to order and always with care. Whether you’re dining in, ordering takeout, or sharing a special night out, our goal is to make every guest feel like part of the Temari family. Our chefs use only premium fish, proprietary house-made sauces, and authentic preparation techniques to deliver consistency and excellence in every bite. Guests often tell us they used to keep Temari as their “best-kept secret” — but with our new look, warm service, and elevated dining experience, it’s time to share it with everyone.

Good things do come in small packages. Since its inception, this warm and friendly neighborhood eatery has been a welcoming change from the hustle and bustle often found in most sushi bars. Thus, sit back, ready your chopsticks, and let owner and chef Hirofumo Nakano and his staff wow you with their expertise. Hiro Sushi is quiet and more intimate than most sushi places. The moderately priced combination plates, with miso soup and rice, are an excellent option. Also, the delectable selection of rolls, tempuras, and sushi is unmissable here.
Aesthetically decorated in warm colors, Roka Akor is a stellar Japanese and sushi restaurant with an elegant ambiance. With the capacity to accommodate a decent number of guests, this fine dining restaurant also sports the Shochu Lounge, which is an ideal place to relax and chill with friends and family. Apart from the delicious sushi, Roka Akor is known for their grilled scallops, seared salmon nigiri and Madagascan prawns which are cooked to perfection. A well-stocked in-house bar serves a variety of liquors, spirits, cocktails and the traditional Japanese drink, sake.
