A gem of Japantown, Kumako is a great little ramen place, located on Jackson Street which is home to many Asian eateries like Shuei Do next door, Tsugaru and Minato, to name a few. Offering healthy Japanese dishes, mainly, a variety of ramen noodles - in a very New York style, Kumako is quite fairly priced. Specialties like Hiyashi,Tan Tan and Sho Yu are highly recommended, there are a few vegetarian options available as well.
