Sushi Train

Fun and casual dining offering high quality sushi on a conveyor belt.

Midori's Floating World Cafe

Midori, Aria, and I have adhered to a natural, vegetarian-inspired diet for many years. We do eat fish, but it ends there. The original idea for our "tea shop-turned-restaurant" was to create an extension of our own home and lifestyle. In other words, we are serving you what we would serve ourselves. Although prohibited by availability and price in some cases, we serve as many organic fruits and vegetables as are reasonably available. Also, when we use certain "prepared" foods we try to obtain them with little or no additives. In our food preparation we limit or eliminate sugar. When we need a sweetener we prefer to use honey or agave.

Kyoto Sushi

Kyoto is hands-down the best sushi and hibachi value in the uptown area. It's one of the first indications that Minnesota sushi restaurants are starting to compete with each other on price points, which is great news for those of us who would love to stuff our faces with raw fish daily. The all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner buffets are inexpensive and include everything from super white tuna nigiri and rainbow rolls to soba noodle soups and salmon teriyaki rice. We suggest you enjoy this place before they realize they are essentially giving their sushi away.

Kado No Mise

Kado no Mise serves Japanese fare that is simple and delicate - true to the tastes and form that Chef Furukawa learned when he first started cooking professionally in his hometown of Tokyo, Japan. Every meal, including our nigiri, sashimi, and maki, is carefully hand-crafted from a select choice of fresh, local and Japanese ingredients in the true Edomae style. No derivatives. No extrapolation.

Kyatchi

The dishes prepared at this Japanese restaurant are light, fresh and quite delicious. The Homemade Kaiso Salad prepared with a variety of seaweed and sesame dressing and the Pressed Suzuki Sushi prepared with sea bass, shiso leaf, black pepper and a side of yuzu ponzu are especially delightful. You can also keep a lot out for the daily specials menu if you are confused about what to order. If you reach during happy hours you can avail reduced prices on everything from sushi plates to wine and sake drinks. They also have a separate menu for kids and hot dogs.
