Kinboshi Ramen

Marukin chain from Tokyo opened its first location in Portland with the aim of pleasing everyone with their hand-crafted noodles. Headed by Chef Mayumi Hijikata, Marukin Ramen has entered the Ramen scene style. It serves delicious ramen in a casual setup and from the broth to the noodles, everything is done in Chef Mayumi's authentic way. It features daily specials like on Mondays bowls of Miso pork and on Tuesday bowls of Tonkotsu Shoyu are offered. Hailed as the undisputed queen of ramen eateries in Portland, this spot is a great place if you want to sample a little piece of Japan.

Tanaka

Tanaka is where Japanese comfort food meets real craft. We’re Japanese-owned, deeply rooted in tradition, and obsessive (in a good way) about doing things properly—from our house-brined katsu to our scratch sauces and milk bread baked for softness, not shortcuts. This isn’t fast food pretending to be Japanese. This is yōshoku done with respect. Crispy, juicy katsu. Balanced curry. Egg salad that actually tastes like Japan. And matcha that’s whisked with intention, not dumped out of a pump bottle. Bridgeport is full of options. Tanaka is the one where: • The food is craveable and thoughtful • The menu is tight, not trying to be everything • The flavors are bold but clean • The vibe is casual, but the standards are not Come for a quick lunch, a reset dinner, or a matcha break that actually wakes you up instead of putting you to sleep. Tanaka isn’t loud. It’s confident. Quietly excellent. 毎日ちゃんと。Every day, done right.

Kayo's Ramen Bar

Kayo's specializes in a clear-broth ramen and NOT tonkotsu-style ramen which you'll find at most other ramen shops. Ours is a clear, refined broth, made in-house daily using only the finest ingredients, with no MSG, additives or preservatives. Our chashu is made in-house as well. We feature traditional ramen like Shoyu, Shio, Miso and TanTan (our most popular).
