Wara Wara
Originally opened in 2016, Wara Wara, meaning "laugh laugh" in Japanese, is an izakaya-style pub that serves a variety of Japanese tapas, cold sake, and specialty ramen. We want everyone to have a good time when they eat here, so we've created an atmosphere that's comfortable and relaxing to spend time in while you enjoy some food and drink with friends. Although laid-back in ambience, we're a little livelier than your average Japanese restaurant, and we welcome you to come experience the energy of a true izakaya next time you're in the neighborhood!
Ten Prime Steak and Sushi is the ultimate dining experience in a romantic yet fun filled atmosphere. A lot of crowd from all over the city pours in here to taste the amazing hand cut steaks from corn-fed mid-western beef! Along with the steaks, you can also enjoy a full sushi menu featuring nigiri and sashimi and designer rolls. The Octopus-tako, cooked shrimp and Fresh Water Eel—or Unagi as it is called—come highly recommended.
Sakura is located in the heart of busy Wickenden Street, close to downtown Providence. It specializes in sushi and vegetarian dinners and what it claims as some of the best teriyaki and sukiyaki in town. Maki is emphasized here, along with house specials like Udon Suki (noodle soup with seafood and vegetables). The ambiance is very Japanese, including an authentic Tatami Room. If you and your date like raw fish, you may want to order Loveboat for Two, which involves an assortment of sushi, sashimi and maki.
