Carlsbad is a fabulous New Mexican style restaurant that incorporates the best of New Mexico's outstanding culinary traditions. Their newspaper-like-menu includes some authentic Hatch Chili, Chipotle Chili and Blue Corn. The Blue Corn Enchiladas filled with cheese, chicken or shrimp is one of the not-to-be-missed items among the entrees. The Fiesta Rellenos consists of roasted poblano chilies stuffed with sauteed vegetables, mushrooms, onions, feta cheese and even more chilies. But it's not just the food that has the patrons hooked. Carlsbad sports a cool bat cave theme with the interiors resembling a stone cave. Sit out at the superb outdoor patio which is an extension of the theme and features great use of natural elements.
Alcohol is never a problem at this Mexican restaurant, and one look at the menu here will further confirm that. Los Sombreros Mexican Restaurant has a pretty good list of drinks consisting of different tequilas, margaritas, beers (local and otherwise) and of course let's not forget the sangria. All these help you wash down the spicy hot tacos and dishes spiked with salsa dip. Try the tortilla soup here but do leave some room for the crab enchiladas.

Arturo Diaz opened Habanero's Mexican Grill on June 2, 2008. He has his wife, Jasmine, two brothers, a sister, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law all working for him as he gets it off the ground.Arturo uses recipes from his mother and father, who ran taco stands in a small town in Jalisco, Mexico. At age 14 he came to the U.S. and has worked in restaurants ever since, starting as a dishwasher and eventually waiting tables and tending bar.Virtually everything is made in-house, and the quality shows. The family is ultra-friendly, too, welcoming everyone with smiles and making sure all is well.
