There's always a place for you at Villa Borghese !! About Us Villa Borghese was founded in 1970 by Sal and Joe Russo. In 1987 it was sold to three brothers ( current owners ) who by coincidence also shared the last name of Russo. These three brothers are Phil, Jack and Sam Russo. These brothers had already been in business operating a deli in Elizabeth, a restaurant in Ortly Beach, and a Stella Doro route also in Elizabeth. The city of Fords embraced the new owners with open arms. They in turn, kept Villa Borghese a good Italian family restaurant, and made it into a modern day classic.
We specialize in providing delicious food and excellent service. We make "FRESH FOOD" not "FAST FOOD"! We also specialize in catering for the pharmaceutical industry. We offer a variety of luncheon packages to comply with industry guidelines. Pizza, wings, calzones, stromboli, seafood, subs, burgers, fries, appetizers, salads, pannini, pitas, baked dishes, cheesesteaks, wraps, 3,4 or 6 foot subs, pasta, chicken, veal, sausage, eggplant, etc., etc., etc.
Fueled by their mutual passion for fish and adventure, our founders set out to create a unique dining experience- one that would take the mystery out of fish for people who didn't eat it very often, and yet provide further mystery for the truly adventurous. In their search to find fish from the waters of the world, they hunted down fish purveyors with the same commitment to quality as theirs. They hired a responsible fish guy who never stops traveling in search of unique species. Today, the founders' ritual of receiving, inspecting and hand cutting fish daily is still practiced by the partners at Bonefish Grill.
