This busy Mexican restaurant is the place to go if you want seafood. This is a simple, diner-style place so do not expect frills at Marisco La Playa, just great food. Start your meal off with the seafood soup, or try the shrimp cocktail--the shrimp is tender and the cocktail sauce is a special recipe. Order the entree of shrimp wrapped in bacon, it's a local favorite.
A nationally acclaimed and local favorite since 1986, Tortilla Flats serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with full bar and TV's. Moderately priced with generous portions. Seating for 200 inside the restaurant and 48 on the heated patio. Tortilla Flats has been honored in Zagat's, Travel and Leisure and Sunset magazines and visits of millions of visitors. The menu features the finest in New Mexican cuisine from traditional family Santa Fe recipes. Outstanding huevos rancheros, chicken quesadillas or slow baked red Chile pork ribs and renowned sopapillas highlight only a few of the favorite choices on the menu. Tortilla Flats is a great idea for food and drink either before or after Meow Wolf, which is located across the street.
Los Potrillos is an authentic Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe that won the Best of Santa Fe Award 2007. It's a feeding ground for the locals, and the decor is unique with its wooden tables, chairs, hand-carved sculptures, murals, cacti and curtains that complete the authentic "western" atmosphere. The menu boasts chips and salsa, steaks, and seafood. Try the shrimp cocktail and rellenos. The Pechunga en Salsa, chicken breasts covered in pineapple sauce, the Cabrito, goat meat marinated and sauteed in peanut and almond sauce, and the Pork and Pineapple, grilled with onions and served with hot molcajete, are all delectable. The culinary skills of the chefs at Los Potrillos keep guests happy indeed!
Billed as 'Where East Meets the Wild West', the Teahouse is a unique establishment where you can indulge in a snack, dessert, cocktail or meal, and sample over one hundred different kinds of tea. Many of the dishes include an innovative twist, such as the Chai spices that are added to the House Granola, or the black sticky rice in the Teahouse Oatmeal. Sandwiches are priced à la Santa Fe, some running high, but most everything is reasonable. The outdoor patio is beautiful and spacious, and the inside is full of interesting nooks and crannies. The Teahouse is the perfect place for visitors to the Canyon Road art galleries to stop and refuel.
