Known as one of the absolute best takeout places in Richmond, 8 1/2 is a must-visit - although the restaurant is a bit on the smaller side, the food more than makes up for it. For more than 20 years, Mary Angela's has served Italian with style to Richmonders' from their storefront in Carytown. Hailing from a small town in Sicily, the family moved to the US in 1976 where Mario began working in his family's Italian restaurant in New Jersey. Serveral years later, he moved to Richmond and opened his own restaurant, naming it after his beloved niece, Mary Angela.
