An intimate, lively neighborhood restaurant located in the charming Belmont district of Charlottesville, VA, tavola offers inspired rustic Italian dining through the use of quality ingredients and a simple philosophy fostered by a staff passionate about food, wine, and personal service. Due to our limited seating and to provide all guests time for a relaxed dining experience, all in-house dining is by reservation only.
Fueled by their mutual passion for fish and adventure, our founders set out to create a unique dining experience- one that would take the mystery out of fish for people who didn't eat it very often, and yet provide further mystery for the truly adventurous. In their search to find fish from the waters of the world, they hunted down fish purveyors with the same commitment to quality as theirs. They hired a responsible fish guy who never stops traveling in search of unique species. Today, the founders' ritual of receiving, inspecting and hand cutting fish daily is still practiced by the partners at Bonefish Grill. As is their dogged commitment to quality and excellence at every level.
Black Cow Chophouse's menu focus is meat, particularly various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, bison and game both local and non-local, wherever we can find real quality to value in a lively but cozy environment.
Ten
The Japanese word ten can mean "heaven", "above" or "celebration" and the dining experience at TEN modern Japanese restaurant is all of these things. TEN approaches traditional Japanese dishes as if they were works of modern art. The superior ingredients are the building blocks of inspiration and the plates are crafted to please both the palate and the eye. Superior products are used and the seafood arrives daily from fishing auctions in Japan and Hawaii. Beyond the incredibly fresh sushi, the menu features a variety of hot and cold ala carte items and offers many choices for vegetarians as well as non-seafood eaters. The bar menu boasts an extensive list of Sake, carefully selected in conjunction with specialty importers and a prominent Sake sommelier. Ten also features an extensive wine list, and specialty cocktails using unique ingredients such as the "Ten" which is comprised of sake, vodka, aloe juice, and sweet Japanese plums called momokochan.
