Endowed by industrialist, financier, and philanthropist Norton Simon (1907-1993), the Norton Simon Museum that bears his name is an extraordinary window into art and antiquities. This museum houses the single largest collection of art assembled by one man. Here, you will find art spanning several centuries and exhibited both in the galleries and in the charming gardens. Simon collected years' worth of artworks from the Indian subcontinent, as well as works from Tibet, Nepal, and Cambodia. Century Books is a used-book store located at Green Street Village in the new district of Pasadena. Their enchanting, petite shop has on offer a large variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, including but not limited to, history, science, religion, arts, literature, ballet, children's, culinary arts, travel and sports books. Plans are afoot to host cultural events, including live concerts, both pop and classical, local artists’ exhibitions, book readings and literary festivals. Curated Collections from the Century was created with actor Billy Zane’s support raising funds and creatively as well. Reputed scientists, teachers, personages, authors, performers and investigators have contributed to this uniquely curated collection, which is changed every month. Each shelf comes with a letter from the curator and an authenticity certificate.

Empty Shelf is a bookstore with a curation hub built around the concept of “playing with empty space,” and it opened in San Gabriel, Los Angeles County in August 2024. We feature books, visual and performance arts, crafts, and handmade works. It is a space where local creators can curate and perform in a physical setting, and it is also a bookstore and handcrafted gift shop that we build together with them.
Sexson Auditorium is a popular event venue and is part of the Pasadena City College campus. The venue features theater-style seating with every row of seats raised above the one ahead of it ensuring unobstructed views of the performing area and can easily accommodate over 1900 patrons. Sexson Auditorium frequently hosts theater performances, musicals, ballet, music concerts, seminars, and other special local and cultural events.
