illuminated ART Hawaii was created by Danielle Rush who is an Emmy-nominated Hollywood makeup artist. Rush is best known for her artistic and eye-catching makeup looks on shows such as Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, and more. After moving to the beautiful island of Oahu with her husband and 2 amazing daughters, Rush decided it was time for a change and combined her 20-year makeup career, her love for photography, and passion for painting to create “illuminated ART Hawaii”. Rush’s signature illumination process begins by printing her photos on canvas. She then applies makeup, acrylic paint, and other materials to add texture, motion and create a three-dimensional effect. She loves working on commissioned pieces to bring other peoples favorite moments and memories to life. She also collaborates with other photographers to keep things current and ever changing. Through this process she aims to recreate the feeling of being present in the moment, and sharing her joy and aloha with the world.
