We are the leading supplier of pottery essentials in the Raleigh–Durham area, serving hand builders and wheel throwers with a deep, ever‑growing inventory. Our shelves are stocked with clays from Kentucky Mudworks, Laguna Clay, Standard Clay Company, and Starworks, plus glazes from Coyote, Laguna, Amaco, and Mayco. You’ll also find Mason stains, Dirty Girls Tools, Kemper Tools, Mudtools, Speedball bats, Sanbao underglaze, gold luster overglaze decals, and more. For potters who mix their own glazes, we offer a full range of raw materials and custom mixing services. We’re continually expanding our selection to support potters across North Carolina and beyond.
Cary Pottery is the studio and gallery for Master Potter, Kenneth Neilsen. All pottery items in the gallery are handmade on-site and are composed of a high-fired stoneware clay. Kenneth is a functional artist and believes that his pieces should have a purpose as well as being beautiful works of art. The Gallery also features other handmade items by local artisans.
