Synchronicity Fine Art

Synchronicity Space, Inc., is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) arts organization. Historically, from its original location in SoHo, Synchronicity produced over 300 theatre projects and mounted public art exhibitions there and internationally. Their primary goal is developing new artists, visual and performing both nationally and abroad and assisting in the process of bringing their work work to the public, while at the same time supporting art education and the benefits of art as therapy. Every year, in January we sponsor an exhibition of work completed through art therapy by men in recovery, from St. Christopher's Inn at Graymoor, a substance abuse treatment center in Garrison, New York; Also annually, in February we present The Gifted Show, featuring the work of talented visual arts students from the tri-state area. Individual artists are exhibited the rest of the year, as well as readings for emerging playwrights, throughout. Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat; Noon - 6PM (or by appointment)

Affiliated with NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Materials for the Arts (MFTA) is an organization that supports creative endeavors and artists from all over the city. Established in 1978, MFTA makes resources and spaces available to the artists and art institutions. Working in sync with major corporate houses and individual donors, it takes unused or used materials from them and passes it on to the various groups who need it; this ensures recycling of waste and also helps the artists with their budget. Apart from that, MFTA also hosts events and shows throughout the year. For additional information and event schedule, check website or call ahead.
