In an attempt to enhance the prospect of approachable art, the Staten Island Arts occupies a space at the St. George Ferry Terminal. This lounge celebrates art related to and inspired by local communities and neighborhoods, so as to make it socially engaging for visitors. The artwork and exhibits are derived from visual artists, musicians, writers and performers - both local and global. The lounge and its incumbent artwork continues to create a culturally engaging environment for the 75,000 ferry passengers who traverse through the Ferry Terminal each day.
