Fuzzy Space
Fuzzy space is Portlands only dedicated tufting studio located within an artist collective, and community centered gallery space. Our studio is ran by an independent artist who actually designs and tufts rugs for a living. Classes are creative, intimate, and hands-on, giving you real guidance through the whole process: choosing colors, shaping your design, learning cut vs. loop pile, experimenting with textures, and finishing your rug cleanly. Expect bold, quirky, and genuinely artistic energy. Whether you’re making something surreal, geometric, funky, or delightfully weird, you’ll get support from start to finish. No cookie-cutter projects — you leave with a one-of-a-kind rug that feels like you. Perfect for creative resets, date nights, friend hangs, or anyone craving a real Portland art experience. Augen Gallery
Augen Gallery is a smaller shop carrying fine art created by both local artists and well-known national and international artists in a very non-traditional setting. Owner Bob Kochs is friendly and talkative and is willing to share his immense knowledge about the work he carries in his gallery and any other subject of interest. All the pieces here are artfully displayed, yet the environment remains casual. It is the perfect place for browsing on a leisurely day.
At Katayama, we believe a picture frame to be art's reward. Our 30+ year history in Northwest Portland represents a quilt of full art services. The Katayama staff of esteemed craftspeople includes wood carvers and intricate joiners, 23K gold gilders, frame restorers, plastic and metal fabricators. Our extended art care with Murdoch Art Services incorporates on-site consultation at our building or your home, excellent design, protection, restoration, installation and shipping of fine artwork.
