The Oak Ridge Art Center is a beehive of activities throughout the year. Located near the center of the city, this community arts space organizes art exhibitions, art shows, and even courses on a range of subjects, from drawing and sketching, to ornament designing and art history. The center was founded in the 1950s and for several years existed in rented spaces in various parts of the city, until in 1968, it finally found a place to call its home. This arts center is a melting pot of culture and art in the region and holds exhibitions showcasing the work of artists from the region and even from other countries.
