ART EXHIBIT: Nov 15 -Dec 28, 2019 4 - Renowned African American Artists Exhibiting Together ! Join Us Roy's interest in art has never waned and he continues to work at his craft. His stint in the Marine Corps allowed him to travel to many places. Each experience allowed him to inject some form of his artistic self into it. For instance, he was able to showcase some of his talent while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. During some of his off-time, he would receive instructions from a Japanese ink and water color master. According to Roy, "she taught me how to be artistically patient," to allow his inner self to form a dialogue with his work.
