Located in Miami's Little Haiti, the Liberi Mapou Creole & French Bookstore is a haven for those who seek books from Creole and Haitian culture. The owner Jan Mapou is a professional linguist that specializes in this particular Kreyol language (Haitian) and in fact, Mr. Mapou also provides translations. The store has been here for more than four decades, shortly established after Mapou was expelled from Haiti under the regime of Papa Doc Duvalier. Even if you don't read French or Creole, the mini bookstore still has works in English as well as Spanish.
