Scout is an independent retail store that stocks merchandise of high-end brands like Diane von Fürstenberg, Helmut Lang, T by Alexander Wang, Equipment Femme, Theory, Missoni and Alexander McQueen Accessories. Its owner Julia Ussery is an alumnus of the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design and has styled the likes of Kate Moss during fashion shows. Her flair for design is reflected in the interiors of the store, where delicate flower arrangements, with pale pink, yellow and white roses set against orange Michigan lilies, create a subtly feminine atmosphere.
