Wickham Solid Wood Studio is more than just a furniture shop: it is a storehouse of masterpieces in woodcraft. Founder Jessica Wickham had the most unusual journey that finally led her to start this showroom. She first studied cultural anthropology, then took up a job in Wall Street, New York before finally moving to Japan for five years, where she learned woodworking under Japanese masters. Today, her studio boasts a 10,000-strong inventory of wooden slabs derived from trees like Red Elm, Black Walnut, White Ash, Black Cherry and White Oak among others. Only wood of naturally-fallen trees is used and the milling is done by sustainable techniques. Wickham Solid Wood Studio has numerous corporations and restaurants as its clients but it also sells furniture to the general public. Shop for wooden dining sets, sideboards, chairs and conference tables at the studio. It also boasts a large collection of kitchen cutting boards, including specialty boards for slicing charcuterie, garlic and baguettes.
