In 1962 Richard Lehman ( a past mayor of the city of Berne, IN ) began Richard's Jewelry. He developed a reputation of honesty, integrity, and excellence of service. The store was known for its fine jewelry and quality watches. Ron Sprunger ( a family relative of Richard ) joined Richard's Jewelry in 1975 after attending the Kansas City School of Watch making and Jewelry Making. Ron and his wife Karleen purchased the store in 1985 after Richard's retirement. Now after almost 30 years of owning Richard's Jewelry Ron and Karleen have worked hard to continue and build up on that reputation. Richard's Jewelry is always looking for unique jewelry lines that are of consistently high quality, not the same designs you can find everywhere. IN the repair department, Richard's is on the leading edge of technology having the only Laser Welder in the surrounding area. This allows us to make repairs that other would say are impossible. The staff is constantly advancing their training and knowledge of the jewelry industry through the Gemological Institute of American and numerous yearly seminars.
