The Concourse of Empire State Plaza is a small city underneath a city, complete with dining options, shops and a modern art gallery. Along the way, the plaza proudly displays exhibits about the city's many illustrious, sometimes notorious governors and politicians. However, the art is the true attraction here, from the Jackson Pollock print in the Corning Tower lobby to pieces from world-renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi in the north concourse. Walking through its labyrinthine halls, many galleries around the country would love to have this collection. The concourse connects all of the Plaza's buildings (including The Egg) and if anything else, it serves as a nice excursion away from the noise and weather above.
