Operational for more than 60 years, the Hartville Market Place was established as a livestock auction site. It features a two story building that is spread over an area of more than 100,000 square feet. The market has nearly 100 individually owned shops that sell a range of consumer items. Some of the products it sells include fresh meat, cheese, fresh produce, T-shirts, books, furniture, candles and handcrafted jewelry. The Hartville Market Place is equipped with heating and air conditioning systems and includes sports cards and toy stores. Additionally, it features Sarah's Grille, a restaurant that serves hand-rolled pretzels, soups, pancakes, biscuits, hotdogs, burgers and ice cream.
