Opening in 1928, Bambino is a non-profit thrift shop operated by friendly, helpful volunteers from several of the hospital's fund-raising Branches and community members solely for the benefit of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. Bambino strives to sell quality items to benefit Children's Hospital Oakland, where no child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. The proceeds from our work contribute to essential needs so the Hospital can continue to offer the highest level of care to its young patients.

With the support of community donations that we sell in our stores, we create life-changing opportunities for local people experiencing barriers to employment by providing free career services, job training and jobs.
