Honest Thrift & Plants is a queer-owned thrift & plant shop located in the heart of Old Town, San Diego. We are a half donation-based thrift store, and half plant shop! We stock a wide variety of plants, from basics for beginners to rare exotics for collectors, and we offer plant education and follow-up care with every plant purchase. In addition to providing high-quality affordable secondhand goods and plants, our goal is to foster a safe, welcoming community. Honest Thrift Studio hosts regular community events, such as our bi-monthly prop swap (trading propagations) and plant bingo. We also regularly partner with local businesses and organizations to promote mutual aid efforts and events in San Diego.

Home Start's Thrift Boutique is more than a thrift store. We are a social enterprise who provide revenue to support our life-changing programs. The store also provides a supportive setting for young mothers in our Maternity Housing Program to develop job skills and gain work experience as they move toward greater independence. Home Start provides a hand up, not just a handout. Located at 3611 Adams Avenue in the Normal Heights neighborhood in San Diego, the Thrift Boutique is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm. Generous donors help us keep the Boutique stocked with unique gifts, quality clothing, and fine furnishings.
