Goodwill of Greater Washington is a local nonprofit that transforms lives through the power of education and employment. Shopping at our stores not only offers you the best value on items such as clothing, books, furniture, electronics, and household essentials, but also helps to fund Goodwill's mission of free job training, education, and employment services for people with disabilities, disadvantages, or other barriers to employment. Savers Thrift Store in Silver Spring is an impressive thrift store, a community champion and a revolutionary recycler. Located at 10141 New Hampshire Ave NE, we offer an incredible selection of pre loved treasures you can't find anywhere else. We're talking apparel and shoes for all sizes and ages, housewares from everyday dishes to fine China, accessories, books, electronics and much more to the tune of thousands of items. And guess what else? Every Savers Thrift Store has a Community Donation Center that partners with one or more nonprofit organizations in your community. Each donation we receive goes to support the programs and services of local nonprofits like Lupus Maryland-Virginia - Apogee. We also do our part for Planet Earth by giving goods a second life instead of one in a landfill. Last year alone, Savers repurposed over 650 million pounds of goods - that's the weight of over 100,000 elephants! With a Savers Thrift Store in Silver Spring, there really is something for everyone. Whether you're in the market to buy one of a kind finds at a great value or in the mindset to declutter, you've come to the right place. Because here, you help when you shop, and you help when you donate. How very neighborly!
